For over 40 years, the School of Social Ecology has fostered boundary-crossing knowledge creation that is embedded in community partnership. The faculty members and staff associated with the Metropolitan Futures Initiative (MFI) are internationally recognized researchers who have a commitment to collaborative community engagement, public scholarship, and transformative research and teaching.
Heritage Fields El Toro, LLC on behalf of Great Park Neighborhoods, Irvine’s newest mixed-use master planned community, provided a seed gift to begin this important research. Click here to learn more about their gift.
Support is needed to continue the interdisciplinary research by faculty and students on issues shaping our Southern California region, such as jobs, home values, land use, crime and the economy.
